  • Founder & Vocal Coach

    International operatic baritone and mariachi singer, blending the powerful traditions of classical opera with the rich cultural heritage of mariachi music, creates a unique and captivating musical experience. This artist’s versatility showcases their ability to navigate the sophisticated melodies and dramatic expressions of opera while also embracing the vibrant rhythms and heartfelt storytelling of mariachi.

    Each performance becomes a journey, where the boldness of the baritone voice resonates with the emotional intensity of both genres. Whether performing a poignant aria that echoes through an opera house or captivating an audience with a lively mariachi tune, the artist brings a fresh perspective to both art forms.

    Emphasizing the importance of proper vocal technique, the singer’s training and experience allow them to deliver performances that are not only technically exceptional but also deeply expressive. Audiences are left enchanted, witnessing a rare fusion of cultural traditions that honors the complexity of operatic expression and the joyous spirit of mariachi music.


  • Voice Instructor and coach

     A proud Tucson native, established soprano, and passionate educator who brings a vibrant blend of operatic excellence and mariachi heritage to her teaching. She began her musical journey playing violin and singing in a mariachi ensemble, later falling in love with opera during her undergraduate studies at Oregon State University. Today, she continues to celebrate her roots as a proud Latina artist by bridging classical and folkloric traditions in both performance and education. 

     Clarissa holds a Master of Music from the University of Arizona and is currently completing her Doctor of Musical Arts degree there, with a focus in voice performance and a minor in ethnomusicology.

     As a vocal instructor at Operachi, Clarissa is thrilled to guide the next generation of singers in an inclusive, culturally rich environment that celebrates both the expressive power of opera and the soulful traditions of mariachi music. 


  • Guitar, Vihuela and Guitarron Instructor

    Xristian’s musical journey is a remarkable testament to his talent and dedication. Proficient in a variety of instruments—including piano, drums, electric guitar, saxophone, and ukulele—he embodies the spirit of a true multi-instrumentalist.

    During his freshman and sophomore summers, Xristian took his passion for music a step further by volunteering as a teaching assistant at the Davis Mariachi summer camp. This experience not only allowed him to share his love for mariachi but also helped nurture the next generation of musicians in his community.

    Despite his deep commitment to music and performance, Xristian remains focused on his academic goals. After graduating, he plans to attend college to pursue a career in medicine. This unique path illustrates his desire to blend his love for music with a commitment to helping others, showcasing not just talent but also a compassionate spirit. Xristian is truly an inspiring individual, ready to make a positive impact both in the arts and in the medical field.
